On Sunday morning, Mr. Staggs woke me up early, and suggested that we take a drive up to mountains to see what we could see. Snow! Oh boy! It was such a pretty drive. The combination of snow, and autumn leaves is a favorite of mine. How could it not be? I love them both so much. It was a nice time and I'm glad that we went. We talked and listened to oldies but goodies, like my favorite Van Morrison CDs, and one of the best live "albums" ever made, Loggins and Messina's, On Stage. Boy did that one ever bring back nice memories. You can probably tell that it was a very mellow sort of time. It's interesting how music can set the mood on a drive. Anyhow, Sunday we went driving. To see what we could see, and this is just a little bit of what we saw.
Snow on bright green moss that was growing all over an old fallen tree. Such an unusual combination, but very beautiful.
Pine needles, and autumn leaves make a pretty combination too, especially with the addition of a little melting snow.
The combination in this photo, makes me think of Christmas. I love having a camera that takes such nice close up pictures.
I took this photo from the car window as we were driving. I'm surprised that it turned out as well as it did. Taken more towards evening, as we were heading back over Stevens Pass. There is already a lot of snow up there, and we saw skiers and snowmobiles, and could tell that the snowplow had been busy.
Did I mention that there was lots of snow? Oh boy!
Take care everyone.
....'til next time in Merryville.
