Well, how about an old milk bottle? Mine was a gift from my friend Mary who included it in a gift basket of goodies that she dropped by our home one Christmas season. She had filled it with a pretty Christmas bouquet of evergreens, Baby's Breath and carnations. It looked so pretty, old fashioned and cheerful. My blog friend Brenda mentioned once, that she stores salt in an old milk bottle, and I've borrowed her idea for my little Christmas kitchen vignette. Thank you Brenda, for sharing such a great idea. I love how salt really does look just like milk in the bottle, until you look closely. Hmmmm, I think I could maybe make a paper bottle cap for the top of the bottle. Maybe with a sprig of holly on top?
I hope your day has been merry!
....'til next time in Merryville.
