As in square...
I hadn't crocheted a granny square in almost 40 years! But I got the bug to pick up the crochet hook again. Maybe it was all those obsession scarves. Or the Special Olympics scarf project. I practiced for a while and kept getting hung up in the same place...my chain 3 to start the new round kind of got lost and I ended up with 2 double crochets instead of 3. Meredith helped me figure out my mistake and a woman in one of my knitting groups watched me in action for confirmation. I then crocheted one big square out of 2 skeins of variegated cotton that had been in my stash for a while. This was a process knit; I just wanted to practice crocheting granny squares. I will donate this small covering to the women's clinic at work - I think it would brighten up a baby carriage or crib.
Crochet definitely progresses quicker than knitting though I think it uses a lot more yarn. It was fun to try something different. This is my third finished project for the year. I haven't shown you the second project yet but stay tuned!
