Happy Valentine's Day

Enjoy the weekend leading up to THE day of love.  Of course every day should be a day of love, but Valentine's day seems to be when most everyone pauses to take stock of whom they care about.  Growing up, it was always an important holiday in our house as my father's birthday is on Valentine's day!  And all those years later, turns out I found an Aquarius of my very own; my husband's birthday is Feb. 13.  So despite all the Hallmark, FTD and Victoria's Secret commercialism, it remains a special (2-day) holiday for me.  And really, who doesn't like red, pink, and hearts? :-)

I spent my New Year's Eve with Mrs. Staggs.  It was wonderful.  Thank you Alexander Graham Bell!

I'm off to yoga and then will immerse myself in bowl games, knitting and maybe some cooking.  Whatever is on your agenda...enjoy!!

2011

I am so ready for 2011.  2010 had its high points but more than its share of low as well.  I am ready to put the year behind me and start anew.  As many people have shared, the new year lends itself to reflection - looking at the year that was and holding hopes for the year that is to be.

I hope your new year is filled with many more highs than lows, including my perpetual wishes for health, happiness, peace and love...and let's add creativity, fun, spontaneity, gratitude, hope and travel ;-)
